Volunteer

Your volunteer work can make good things happen for many people in Southeast Alaska. Please consider committing to volunteer at the Southeast Alaska Food Bank.  We are open five days a week, and will gladly work with your schedule.

By donating 40 hours of your time (3.5 hours/month) or more, you will make a big difference in local peoples’ lives. People of all ages and all levels of ability are welcome. There is plenty of work for everyone, and if you cannot lift and carry boxes or stand for long periods of time, there are other tasks that we can use your help with.

Food Bank volunteers are a diverse group of people who have many different skills and talents.  Being a part of this great team will also help you to expand your horizons.

If you have a little (or even a lot) of time to share please call our Food Bank Office at (907) 789-6184 and get on our schedule!

Children under 16 must have adult supervision (parent or guardian) and we welcome Community Service workers.
