Pantry sorting, distribution day support, food drives, and more — SEAFB runs on the people who show up and do the work. Individual volunteers, first-timers, groups, youth organizations, and community service participants are all welcome. We'll tell you exactly where to be and what to do.

If your organization serves people in need and could use a consistent food supply, SEAFB's member agency network was built for you. We currently distribute to 30+ partner organizations across Southeast Alaska, including communities well outside Juneau. Size is not a barrier to joining.

The fastest way to get involved is to apply as a volunteer — shifts are available on pantry days and the online application takes only a few minutes. There are five main pathways: volunteering your time, joining SEAFB's distribution network as a member agency, partnering as a corporate sponsor or volunteer employer, sharing your story of food insecurity or community impact, and applying for open staff positions. Monetary and non-perishable food donations are handled through our Ways to Give page.
Can I volunteer or donate in Southeast Alaska?
Yes to both. SEAFB accepts volunteers for pantry sorting, distribution days, food drives, and group events. Monetary donations can be made online through our secure giving page, by check, or through a community fundraiser. Non-perishable food donations are accepted at SEAFB headquarters and drop-off sites across Juneau.
