Volunteer at the Southeast Alaska Food Bank
Every Thursday our food pantry in Juneau runs because community members show up and do the work. We have various roles, coordinated schedules, and staff helping making sure your time here is purposeful from the moment you arrive.
Real Roles, Real Work
Every Shift Has a Purpose
We couldn't do this work without our volunteers — and we're always looking for more. Whether you have a few hours or want to become a regular part of our team, there's a place for you here.
Opportunities include:
- Pantry sorting & packing
- Distribution day support
- Food drive assistance
- Group & event volunteering
Who Can Volunteer
You Don't Need Experience, a Group, or a Regular Schedule
SEAFB welcomes:
- Individual volunteers, whether you're coming once or every week
- Group volunteers — corporate teams, school clubs, civic organizations, and faith communities
- Youth volunteers with adult supervision
- Community service participants completing court-mandated or school-required hours
